This was a positive and a negative of the same tree. The second was wet on wet, 140 lb. cold press paper, for the wash, and then wet on dry for the tree. The first was done with negative spaces only, wet on dry with salt added. Also on 140 lb. cold press. Paints were some ancient student grade paints I found in my studio!

Lilies.....still practicing. Thanks to Mark Oots for lending me the photo! I'm going to work this one up a few different ways .

Day 3, the colors are fading now.

Same roses, day 2, the colors are changing.

Roses from my garden, day 1.

An awkward still life!

Salvaged from the Thanksgiviing centerpeice. Peterman watercolors.

More puff prayers!

And a few more..... playing with Peterman water color papers.

Puff Prayers

Some one on Everyday Matters posted about puff prayers. I am trying to learn watercolor, it is a new medium for me. Here are a few of my puff prayers, splashes of color that spoke to me at the moment.

Best of intentions

I really did mean to update this blog regularly. I was sketching every day and then my camera broke while we were on vacation in Utah. It is fixed now, so I am uploading a few things.
A sketch of my husband and some of a few things in his office. A view of the red-lined hills in Utah.

Blast from the past

I found this old "Portrait of My Daughter" when taking photos of some other things.
