This was a positive and a negative of the same tree. The second was wet on wet, 140 lb. cold press paper, for the wash, and then wet on dry for the tree. The first was done with negative spaces only, wet on dry with salt added. Also on 140 lb. cold press. Paints were some ancient student grade paints I found in my studio!

I've always loved the salt effect. I prefer the second because more of the branches are seen. Such lovely calming colors!
